Setup Guide

1

Download & Install

Download the APK above and open the file on your Android phone. If prompted, allow installation from unknown sources.

⚠️ On Android 13+: If installation is blocked, go to Settings → Apps → SMSFoundry → ⋮ menu → Allow restricted settings, then try again.
2

Set Your PIN

On first launch, you'll be asked to create a 4-digit PIN. This secures the app — you'll need it every time you open SMSFoundry.

3

Grant SMS Permission

The app needs SMS permission to send messages. Tap "Grant SMS Permission" when prompted.

⚠️ On Android 13+: If the permission doesn't appear, tap "Open App Settings" → ⋮ menu → "Allow restricted settings" → back → Permissions → enable SMS.
4

Disable Battery Optimization

This ensures SMSFoundry keeps running in the background. Without this, Android may kill the app and stop sending messages.

5

Verify Device Ownership

Select your country code, enter your phone number, and tap "Send Verification SMS". The app will send an SMS to your own number. Enter the code you receive to verify.

6

Pair Your Device

Log in to your SMSFoundry Dashboard, go to Devices → Pair New Device, and scan the QR code with the app.

7

Start Sending!

Your gateway is now active. Send SMS via the Dashboard or use the REST API. The app shows a persistent notification while active — you can stop it anytime from the dashboard.
